- May 11 - BCMS Spring Band Concert at BCHS Auditorium
- The 6th-grade concert begins at 6:30 pm. Students need to arrive by 5:30 pm.
- The 7th and 8th-grade concerts begin at 7:30 pm.

- Tuesday, May 2: English/Language Arts section of the test; 7:40 - 11:00.
- Thursday, May 4: Math section of the test; 7:40 - 11:00.
Thank you for scheduling appointments around these testing dates. Students need to arrive at school on time. If a student is late, they won't be able to take the test. Students will stay in RTC until the testing finishes at 11 am. Those students will then take the test on the make-up day.
- The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is looking for teen volunteers over the summer. This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours. To be a part of the VolunTeen program, you must be entering grades 7-12 in the Fall, but you DO NOT need to have a library card or live in the City of Midland. Responsibilities will include handing out summer reading prizes, helping with children’s events, and more! Every volunteer must attend one of our orientation sessions on May 8 or 17 even if you have volunteered in the past. You can register on the library calendar or call the library, to let them know you’re interested. If you’re not ready to commit to the whole summer, consider attending our last Teen Advisory Board meeting of the year on Monday, May 1 from 6-7 pm.
