Wow! What a night, Floyd! This year's Halloween Walk didn't disappoint! Thank you to everyone who helped and came out to join in on the fun! Our resident DJ kept us dancing and having a good time right to the end. 🎃

Mrs. Diaz and her 3rd graders at Floyd wrapped up their unit learning about soil with a little soil treat of their own. Who knew soil was so interesting--even without the chocolate?!

Students pitch in at Floyd to help us be our best. Whether it's as a member of Safety Patrol, prepping Creeker Coupons for celebration, helping a young friend have fun, or assisting with a technical problem. We love how our students take pride in our school.

Floyd teachers welcomed a math leader and partner to their professional learning on Friday to continue strengthening their understanding of the Math Essentials, number sense, and equitable participation.

Looking for some new Lancer spirit wear? Fat Bear has lots of fun prints to choose from! This elementary level fundraiser runs through October 13th. 🖤💛

Floyd 3rd graders are learning ways to defend and protect Michigan. They took the opportunity to walk around our school and pick up trash. ♻️🗑️🍃

One of Floyd's most special days has become the close of KinderCamp and our Reveal Day. This is when all students and staff line the halls while our 5th graders have the honor of escorting our kindergartners to their new classroom family. 🖤💛

It quickly became clear who the coolest person in the room was today. Thank you, Mr. Andrew! Floyd students and staff appreciate you!

Floyd Elementary would like to thank our community partners for sharing some of their special vehicles with us this week. The students loved being up close and able to learn more about your important work.

Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Carey were eager to get to nature time with their first graders today. What a beautiful day for outdoor learning at Floyd.

Floyd kindergarteners had some neat critter finds while exploring new areas today. They also practiced identifying nature area boundaries.

Floyd KinderCamp Day 2: New friendships, new learning.

Floyd Elementary's day one of KinderCamp was filled with lots of new experiences. From the morning meeting song, learning and playing with new friends, a soggy recess (Hello, worms! 😍), lunch in the community room--students handled it all beautifully. See you in the morning!
