I would like to recognize and congratulate Susan Doud on being named one of the ‘STEM STARS’ by Saginaw Valley State University.  See below for additional details...

Saginaw Valley State University and the MiSTEM Network – East Central Michigan Region have recognized 20 educators for their contributions to STEM education.

Midland County 

  • Susan Doud, mathematics teacher, engineering teacher, FIRST® Robotics mentor, AH Nickless Innovation Award coach, 6th-12th grade, Bullock Creek High School, Midland 

“As a math and engineering teacher at Bullock Creek High School, she works daily to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. She pushes students out of their comfort zones, encouraging them to explore new activities that inspire innovation and creativity.” 

A few additional things to know…

BCHS is hosting Parent Teacher Conferences next week.  Please take a moment to sign up for a time to conference with your child’s teachers.  March 7th conferences will be virtual and held between 4:00-7:30 pm.  March 9th conferences will be in-person and between 3:00-6:30 pm.  Please use the links below to sign up for a time.

In BCHS Athletics this week.  Congratulations to the following...

  1.  To our bowling teams for advancing to the state finals.  Brooklynn Marshall, Anthony Davis and Harley Rewerts will also be competing in the bowling individual finals.
  2. To Nick Schneider on qualifying for the individual wrestling finals at Ford Field.
  3. To our Varsity Girls’ basketball team on their season that just concluded.
  4. To our Competitive Cheer Team that finished 7th at Regionals last weekend.

       5.  Best of luck to our Varsity Boys’ Basketball team that opens district play at Ogemaw Heights       HS this Wednesday, March 8th at 5:30 VS Clare.  Tickets are available on GoFan.co

*A special congratulations to our 2023 Valedictorian and Salutatorian who have earned the top 2 academic spots in their class.
