Dear BCHS Families,
Welcome to August! As we prepare for the upcoming school year there are student activities already beginning and families are thinking about going back to school at the end of the month. Here are a few important dates to add to your family calendar…
1. August 22nd – Schedule Pick Up (sophomores, juniors & seniors) from 10am-12pm in the main gym. Parking pass forms will be available at this time at a cost of $30/year. *Yearbooks will be available for pick up for those student who have pre-ordered them.
2. August 22nd – New Student Orientation in the Media Center from 1pm-2pm. This is designed for any sophomore, junior or senior that is new to the district. Students will have an opportunity to learn about the high school, tour the building, ask questions and pick up their schedule and locker assignment. If parents/students would like to meet individually with a counselor, please contact the Counseling Office at (989) 631-2418 ext. 1509 to set up an appointment.
3. August 23rd – Freshman Orientation from 10am-12pm in the Auditorium. The morning will include the introduction of counseling and administrative staff members, schedule pick up, building tour and orientation, locker assignments, cafeteria instructions and options for extra curricular activities. Students may enter the building through the Auditorium doors beginning at 9:45.
4. August 24th – Student schedules will be available to view and download from Skyward beginning at 8am.
5. August 29th – First day of school for students.
- BCHS will open for student entry at 7:20am – please do not arrive before this time.
- Student day will begin at 7:53am
- Student day will end at 2:38pm
