Friday, April 21st is the 8th annual Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction. All proceeds go to fund the operation of Midland County Project D.A.R.E. *See attached flyer for details.

Mrs. Clare’s English classes got to enjoy the nice weather today. They went outside and collaborated in circles to learn about Greek Gods and Goddesses!

Physics students were reusing trash to build underride guards to stop a Barbie Jeep from going under a semi.

The Educational Careers class from Bullock Creek High School held a book drive this fall to collect new/gently used books from the community. Our goal was to support literacy in our littlest Lancers through book ownership. We collected 3,712 books and on Wednesday, the students were able to give each child at Bullock Creek Elementary one book to finish out March is Reading Month. Students at Pine River and Floyd Elementaries will be given books after Spring Break. The Educational Careers class also recruited Woodworking student Nathan Rivard to build 2 Little Free Libraries for installation at BCEL and Pine River elementary schools. The libraries will be stocked with leftover books from the book drive and we encourage everyone to visit them frequently to get new books. The Educational Careers class would like to thank the following people for helping with our project; -The Bullock Creek Community for their generous donations of books -Ace Hardware for their donation of paint -SchaFour Builders, Inc. for their donation of plywood -Bullock Creek Wood Shop for their donation of miscellaneous materials -Floyd Church of God, Messiah Church, and The Lodge Party Store for serving as collection sites for the book drive.

At the Midland District Event presented by Dow, BlitzCreek battled tough competition and fought their way through the losers bracket to finish as district finalists, taking home second place metals for their hard work. The team was also honored by judges with the Innovation in Control Award for their use of an innovative control system or application that provided unique machine functions. Additionally, Griffin Anderson was recognized as the Dean's List Nominee for his leadership and dedication to the team, and Clane Cammin was recognized as the Woodie Flowers Nominee which celebrates effective communication in the art and science of engineering and design by an adult mentor. 

Mr. Boman’s welding classes competed in their own March Madness with a welding bracket competition this week. 1st place Mya Chippeway, 2nd place Ty Sczepanski.
