This week, Current Event students voted. We held a mock election where students were able to use the research they collected about the candidates on the ballot and vote for the ones they felt represented them best. Students "registered" to vote, filled out a ballot, put their ballot in the "machine", and even got an "I Voted" sticker.

Bullock Creek wants to recognize Mattie Gagne for her performance at States this weekend. Mattie finished 141st out of a field of 250 with a time of 20:57. She battled 30 mph winds with 40 mph gusts for the first mile, then  finished the last 400 meters into the wind. It was a tough day to compete, but Mattie did an awesome job!

This past weekend the BlitzCreek Robotics competed in Bot Bash, a for fun off-season event. They helped to host 27 teams from around the state at Dow High School Saturday October 29th, to compete with last season's robots. The team finished as the 9th seed alliance captain, and had a ton of fun introducing new members to competition.

Current Event students are currently working on researching candidates who will appear on the ballots for the General Election in our district. We created tables on the board with information from our research (These are the Democrat and Republican candidates for Governor). During election week, we will be holding a classroom election where they get a general idea of how the voting process works.

Physics students went out to take a look at and measure the angle of the solar panels. They tried to launch a tennis ball such that it would be in the air for 6 s. It would have to be launched at close to 30 m/s.
