Biology class is busy learning about the life cycle of a cell and what healthy cell division looks like. This week students did an activity to model how cell differentiation occurs in our blood. It was a fun way to understand why we need all the different types of cells to stay alive!!!
Creekers for a Cause is teaming up with the Bullock Creek community to help out Rebecca Parker and her daughter Vanessa, a junior at BCHS, after they lost their belongings to a house fire last month. We will have a silent auction, along with some other games during the JV and Varsity Girls’ Basketball games. Today is National Random Acts of Kindness Day. Students at the high school were challenged to share how they could spread kindness on a paper link that was added to the “Kindness Chain”. How can you spread kindness today?

Human Anatomy and Physiology (a class offered through Central Michigan University) had the opportunity to dissect cow eyes this week. Students learned about the components of the eye and how the muscles interact with different amounts of light, to control an organism’s vision. Such a great learning experience!!!
AP Biology recently learned about Bacteria Transformation and applied their knowledge in a very robust lab this week. Even though the results weren’t as they hoped, students gained valuable experiences with biotechnology and important lab procedures… Both are wins in our book!!!

Aiden’s passion for percussion was on full display, and we couldn’t be more proud to see his hard work and talent recognized on such a prestigious stage. Currently, the Human Anatomy and Physiology class (offered through Central Michigan University) is learning about the Muscular System. Students were challenged to choreograph a dance, to showcase the muscles used in certain movements or to research and present on a muscle related topic. This activity allowed students to show off their knowledge of body movement and the major muscles involved… They all did a great job and had a lot of fun!!! Extra thanks to Mr. Tisdale for helping support this project!!!
