Student work based learning highlight

“At MI iVRx I help keep the office organized by updating files, printing EOBs, and keeping everything neat and efficient. I’ve really enjoyed seeing how attention to detail keeps things running smoothly!

This experience has helped me sharpen my organization skills and learn how an office operates day to day.” - Mattie Gagne

The Midland County Educational Careers class, taught at Bullock Creek High School, had a great day with the L.I.F.T. (Leaders Influencing Future Teachers) at SVSU. They attended sessions on teacher certification, scholarship opportunities, project-based learning, ways to make classes more engaging, and other classroom- and teaching-related topics. Students will get the chance to apply what they learned today in this class and in their classroom placements. Students were also able to get a tour of the SVSU campus and see some of the freshman dorms. Some of the students were also excited to eat at the SVSU cafeteria!
