Heads up! The Bullock Creek Varsity Band along with many other marching bands from the tri-cities at Midland HS on Wednesday, 10-12-22. The show starts at 5:55pm and costs $5 admission. Come out and support the band!

Bullock Creek Equestrian placed second in Regionals this weekend and qualified for the State competition which will be held October 13-15 at the Midland County Fair Grounds. Great job Creek!

This week I had the privilege of working with our outstanding Food Service team at Floyd Elementary! Great fun!

2nd graders from BCEL had an engaging experience at Chippewa Nature Center this week.

Mrs. Lacey’s class created nature works of art with Kristin Cronkright today.

On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, some members of our BCMS Peer 2 Peer group met with other Midland County middle school students for our Depression Awareness Campaign Kickoff. The Peer 2 Peer campaign is intended to reduce suicide and address issues of depression and mental health. Students spent the day working with other area students planning monthly activities and learning more about mental health issues. Each month will have a different theme where students will carry out activities in their school with the intention of reaching other students to increase understanding of depressive illnesses, reduce stigma, and encourage students to seek help in needed.

Mrs. Duhoski’s class demonstrated their knowledge of decomposers, consumers and producers by acting out what certain organisms do.

Mr. Gusler’s class developed their journaling skills by creating a detailed description of a plant they chose. They swapped journal entries with a partner and tried to find each other’s plant based on what was written.

Our nature classes often use journaling as a way to construct meaning and record observations. Emma Chappel’s class recorded their thoughts snd knowledge about the sun in their nature journals.

Kindergarten students at BCEL and Floyd have enjoyed visits to Chippewa Nature Center this week. They participated in hands on activities to build their knowledge of living and non living.

Mrs. Hedlund's class had a great time on their field trip to the Nature Center yesterday learning about living and nonliving things!

A huge thank you to Gavin Goetz, AT&T, volunteers from AT&T as well as Annette Glenn and Jim Stamas for the delivery of backpacks and school supplies to Bullock Creek School District!

Floyd Elementary had the opportunity to host some local leaders from Leadership Midland. Thank you for visiting our Nature Program!
