🎉 BIG NEWS FROM THE BCEL MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS! 🎉

We had a very special guest join our favorite 2nd-grade BCEL sports reporter, Luca P, for the final sports report of the 25/26 school year! 🎙️✨

A huge thank you to Brad from 100.9 The Mitt (the radio voice of the Loons! ⚾) for joining Luca this morning and making it an unforgettable broadcast.

Luca has kept me up-to-date all year long on scores, games, trades, and all things sports. I would then pass along his sports reports on through the morning announcements. I have absolutely loved connecting with Luca over his knowledge of all things sports!! Thank you, Luca for sharing all of your sports knowledge with me and trusting me to pass them along accurately.

Way to go, Luca, for being brave and joining me this morning! And thank you, Brad, from the Mitt, for supporting our rising sports reporter!!!

Congratulations to our BCMS 8th grade students! They were celebrated by family and friends at a recognition ceremony as they prepare to make the move to the high school next year. While we will miss all of them, we are excited for what lies ahead for this group of stellar students.

BCEL 2nd graders visited Floyd for a day of exploring the woods, pond, and vernal pools. They then participated in activities with Floyd 2nd graders that was led by Mrs. Clark.

Vicki Mikusko was awarded the 2025-2026 Impact Honoree Award by the Midland Area Career & College Access Network. Mrs Mikusko is an outstanding leader and very deserving. Congratulations to Mrs Mikusko!

🎓✨ Memories made today at BCEL! ✨🎓

Our hallways were filled with pure magic today as the incredible Class of 2026 returned to where it all began for their Senior Walkthrough!

Seeing our graduates shining in their caps and gowns brought so much joy to our school. Our little Lancers were absolutely starstruck and looked up at these "big kids" with so much admiration and excitement. It was a beautiful reminder of where hard work and big dreams can take you. 🌟

To the Class of 2026: Thank you for inspiring our youngest students today. We have loved watching you grow, we congratulate you on this milestone, and we wish you the absolute best in your next chapter! 🖤💛

Thank you to the BC kitchen staff for providing these wonderful frisbee plates at lunch today! Our middle students enjoyed eating their lunch off of them and then getting the chance to use them during their time outside after lunch.

The 5th graders at Pine River Elementary had a fantastic time at the Great Lakes Loons game on Tuesday.
A huge thank you to Great Lakes Bay Orthodontics for generously providing the tickets, and a big thank you to all of our wonderful parent volunteers who stepped up to chaperone. We couldn't do trips like this without our amazing community support!

A huge THANK YOU to Members First Credit Union for generously supporting our middle school special education classroom with a grant for new kitchen, small business, and science items! These materials will give our students more hands-on opportunities to build life skills, explore science concepts, and grow their confidence every day. We are so excited to put everything to use! 🖤💛

The Dow Stem Explorer Bus visited BCMS and the Nature Exploration class . The students really enjoyed trying all of the fun hands-on activities and learned a lot.

From storybooks to real life! BCEL's Nature K classes had a special visit from Deputy Joe Fillmore of the Sheriff’s office. After his daughter mentioned the Kinders were reading "Career Day," he dropped by to share a bit about his job and connect with our students. Thank you for being a wonderful part of our community, Deputy Fillmore!

Mrs. Woodcraft, a Senior Lead Scientist at DuPont, visited Mrs. Tewksbury’s class at Pine River to show our students that science can be so much fun! The class learned that making homemade ice cream takes great teamwork. Thank you for the delicious and educational visit!
