The December middle school dance did not disappoint! A great crowd showed up and enjoyed dancing, food and fun. It was a great way to end our second quarter.

What do you do when the weather is rainy in December? If you're a student or teacher in our nature program you embrace it. Today was a perfect day to get an up-close view of changes in matter.

Thank you, PTO, for providing doughnuts, muffins, coffee, and hot chocolate to the Transportation staff today!

🎄✨ A heartfelt THANK YOU to Mr. and Mrs. Schweigert for the beautiful and festive lights they put up at BCEL! ✨🎄
Their time, care, and generosity truly make our school look magical this time of year. The lights not only brighten our building but also reflect the love they have for our school and community. We are so grateful for all they do—because of them, BCEL (and our community!) shines even brighter during the holiday season.
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Schweigert, for sharing your kindness and holiday spirit with us all! 💙✨

Our wrestlers competed in their final home meet of the season against Meridian and Pinconning last night. They delivered a strong showing for the Lancers with many impressive victories. The team continues to demonstrate growth, determination, and hard work as the season comes to a close. Their final meet will be the Jack Pine Conference Tournament this Saturday in Standish featuring the best wrestlers from each team—good luck, Lancers!

What a fun week we're having at Floyd! Today we welcomed back some special guests; author/singers Mike and Alexandria McMath, and then Kiwassee Kiwanis Club treated first graders to a Santa event. We are so thankful to make these special memories together.

What a morning to remember! 🎶✨
BCEL and Pine River students were treated to our beloved Kiddie Concert today, put on by our amazing 7th and 8th grade musicians led by Ms. B. Nearly 600 elementary students had the opportunity to experience live music in such a special way—and they did not disappoint!
All of the students were exceptionally well-behaved, joyfully sang along with the band, and showed genuine respect and gratitude to the musicians for sharing their talents. Watching them engage so enthusiastically was truly a pleasure.
A huge thank you to Ms. B and our incredible 7th and 8th graders for creating such a meaningful experience. This is truly one of our favorite yearly traditions, and a wonderful reminder of the magic of music and community at the Creek. 💙🎤🎼

Christmas Concert time!

On Friday, BCEL's students enjoyed a cozy fire, songs, and story.

BCMS 8th grade students participated in Career Pathways this morning. Students were treated to several guest speakers who told about their careers and helped spark some interest in a few careers that our students may want to explore further.

This morning at BCEL we had our second Coffee and Conversation with our family interventionist, Nicole Madlem. We learned about Restraint and Collapse... the big feelings students may have when they come home from school. It was a great conversation learning with each other through our experiences. Thank you Nicole for hosting this time together! We are looking forward to our January session!!!

Floyd students were recently treated to a beautiful holiday concert by the Bullock Creek Varsity Band. They were impressive as always--the band and the audience. Thank you to all!

Mornings at Floyd begin with a morning meeting to build classroom community and practice new skills. Ms. Simons' students were thoughtfully engaged and intentional in their discussion today.

This weekend some of our amazing BCMS student council representatives volunteered their time and brought some holiday cheer to the "Cookies with Santa" event sponsored by BC/PR PTO. Thank you for helping make the season brighter! ✨

Some Pine River and Floyd students participated in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge in Freeland on Saturday, where teams researched a real-world problem, developed an innovative solution, and built and programmed a LEGO robot to complete a series of missions. We are proud of their teamwork and dedication. A special thank you to the parents who stepped up to coach and support our students.

Congratulations to our BCMS Solo & Ensemble crew. Several of our students performed at Jefferson Middle School over the weekend in front of judges. Each of our students received feedback from the judges on their performances. A lot of hours of practicing paid off as each student did an absolutely wonderful job! We are proud of you!
