Our very own superhero, Carter Schofield, has beaten cancer!!!!!! Ring that bell Carter!!! Your Bullock Creek family is so extremely excited for this journey to be over for you! This amazing boy has shown grit, strength, and perseverance!! Time to celebrate!!

What a perfect day to build in the snow!

Mrs. Stark and Mrs. McGuire led their students on a push/pull hike through the woods. They stopped along the trail and completed tasks that were set up to explore pushing and pulling.

Congratulations to BCMS's own Emily Eickhoff for being awarded one of the 20 under 40 in the category of education from Midland Daily News.

Tonight, Daisy Schwartz was honored with the Lancer Leader Award by our Board of Education and Mrs Rinn. Congratulations Daisy!

Mr. Gusler led an engaging conversation with students about animals in winter to start out their nature time.

The woods at BCEL were a busy place today! We love our new outdoor seating that our community member Rob Taylor made for us.

Young Fives/Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten orientation for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year is coming! Please help spread the word that Floyd Elementary and Bullock Creek Elementary will hold their Round-Up on: Floyd - January 31st from 6-7 pm BCEL - February 1st from 6-7 pm Students who are signing up for Y5's/TK and Kindergarten for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year must be 5 years old by December 1, 2024, or by September 1, 2024, with a signed waiver. Congratulations to all of the middle school band students who competed at MSBOA Solo & Ensemble Festival! There were 31 Creekers who performed & the students brought home 37 medals! That is a testament to their dedication, talent, & all of the work they put in to learn their music for their events! Way to represent!

On Friday BCEL students enjoyed a cozy campfire. We laughed, sang, listened to books and just enjoyed the day. We were joined by Ms. Clapp and were able to listen to her read.

This morning our BCEL students were treated to an amazing holiday concert by our high school Varsity band! We enjoyed all of the festive tunes, the sing-alongs, and listening to our very own Mrs. Griggs sing 'White Christmas'! We are so thankful to Mrs. Bossenberger, BC's band director, for arranging for us to come and enjoy some fun holiday songs!!

Veterans from the Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition visited some of Floyd's 4th and 5th grade classrooms this week discussing American flag history and etiquette.

BCELs Kindergarten classes enjoyed a story from the big man himself today!!! What a special treat!!!

BCEL's kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade music classes put on amazing holiday concerts on Wednesday!! Mrs. Griggs worked so hard with our students to make things jolly and festive!! Thank you, Mrs. Griggs for all your hard work to put on these concerts!! It was so nice to hear our Little Lancers sing to a gym full of adorning parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles!!!

Great Holiday concert tonight performed by our 6th, 7th and 8th grade Bands. Also a special performance by a few of our Middle School staff!

Mrs. Griggs led fifth grade students from Pine River, and fourth and fifth grade students from Floyd at the Dow Gardens Christmas walk on Thursday night. The students had so much fun spreading Christmas cheer as they sang many different Christmas carols for the community. Thanks to everyone who came out to sing or enjoy the carols!

Here are a few key reminders to ensure you have a holly-jolly time: - Navigate the sparkling path starting at the BC South Little League ball fields on Miller Rd. There is a slightly modified route this year; follow the traffic director, cones, and arrows to keep the holiday spirit flowing smoothly. - Please be respectful of Miller Rd. residents trying to make their way in or out of their driveways. - Embrace the anticipation of a 30+ minute drive-through experience – though with the holiday magic, time might just fly by! - While the event is a gift to the community, feel free to spread the cheer by making donations. Contributions will be divvied up among various Bullock Creek nonprofit and school organizations, including BC/PR PTO, Journeys Coffeehouse, BC Girl Scouts, BCMS Student Council, and BlitzCreek Robotics.
