A few students from Pine River Elementary participated in Youth in Partnership program hosted at Meridian Public Schools. Students from school buildings across the county came together to discuss relevant topics and discuss ideas for Kindness Week.
BCEL is looking for a paraprofessional to assist in a one-on-one compacity. Do you have the heart and drive to help a little learner be as successful as they can be throughout their day? If so BCEL would love to talk to you about helping out as a one-on-one paraprofessional.
Candidates must be able to attend work on a regular basis, follow a behavior plan, collect data, and carry out goals with fidelity in collaboration with the teacher, special education professionals, and district behavior specialist.
Please send all letters of interest to Beth Bredt at bredtb@bcreek.org
Congratulations to our Bullock Creek Equestrian team on their second state championship in a row!

Last week fifth graders from Pine River Elementary participated in Creek Week. Students rotated through different groups all week. Pictured here are two groups: students working on plotting coordinate points while exploring the meadow and students gathering organisms from the Arbury Pond and the Wetlands. Students were able to look at various organisms through the microscope.
Students in Mrs. Napoli's 2nd grade at BCEL are learning about the importance of wondering/questioning before, throughout, and after reading. As they read, students are learning to stop and jot down questions on sticky notes. Students can strengthen comprehension by reviewing questions independently, with partners, and with their whole group. Great job, readers!!! What an amazing strategy!!

Amazing! The students in the Bullock Creek Construction Trades Program are hard at work!
BCEL's nature areas were busy with investigating, observing, and exploring today!
Mrs. Cassow and Mrs. Southwell have been team teaching nature time at BCEL. Their students have benefited immensely from the learning experiences these awesome teachers have created together.
A beautiful day in the pollinator garden! Mrs. Lombard's 1st-grade explorers scoured the garden for seeds to create a seed bracelet! Their creations turned out so beautiful! They even had a visitor join them to check out our native plants!
Students in Mrs. Benson's 6th grade art classes learned how to make some awesome graffiti! Students learned about artists like Banksy and Keith Haring, practiced different styles of graffiti lettering and then created their own graffiti fences in an environment. These kids worked hard and were so proud!
BCEL families enjoyed the chance to spend some time after school in the pollinator garden. We collected and investigated insects, examined the pollinator plants, played on the playground and had some good laughs.
Last week our kindergarten students from Floyd and BCEL visited the Chippewa Nature Center to learn about living and non- living organisms. They dipped in the pond, created mini forests and built beaver dams. Some even extended their time at CNC so they could enjoy a picnic lunch and have more time to explore.
